Senior Night for Fiddler on the Roof

This past weekend, the Sacred Heart Theatre Program closed their production of Fiddler on the Roof. The musical was preformed by Sacred Heart students and male students from neighboring schools.

The musical is about a father named Tevye who has five daughters who he is trying to marry off. He is a poor milk man who values a man with money for his daughters. His daughters convince him to let them marry who they truly love, even though their husbands-to-be are poor.

When asked what her favorite part about being in the show was, Ashley Arnett (Tzeitel) said, “We spent three long and hard months putting together this show. There were even times when I thought it wasn’t going to come together, but there’s something so special about the art of theatre that made it work out just as it should be.”

This past Friday, Nov. 18 was Senior Night, where the senior actors and tech received roses for their contributions. Jessica Smith, a senior at Sacred Heart who attended the show said “This show was absolutely hilarious, the dancing was amazing and the actors did a great job portraying the characters.”

Bravo to the actors, techies, directors, and musicians who put on this wonderful performance of Fiddler on the Roof.
