Sacred Heart Academy golf team walks away with another win at their home tournament hosted at Hurstbourne County Club on Saturday.

Senior Erin Rowland posted a two under par 71 to capture the individual title. Senior Ryan Bender put up a 77 to remain in the top 10.

“I knew I had to make that putt to take home the win,” said Rowland.

The team honored the seniors beforehand since its their last home tournament. With two state championships under their belt, it is hard to see them go.

The Valkyries took home their victory by 33 shots over Ryle high school. The field was the largest this tournament has ever hosted with 107 players all around Kentucky and southern Ohio.

With only one tournament left before the regional and state championship, the Valkyrie’s are still going strong, experiencing only one loss against all of the southeast state champions.

SHA concludes their tournament play this Saturday, Sept. 23 at Connemara golf course in Nicholasville, Ky.
