Complete World of Sports at St. Xavier

Payton Sims, Staff Reporter

This past weekend, St. Xavier Players opened their first two performances of The Complete World of Sports (abridged). This Saturday Night Live-like show is full of fast paced satire and slap stick comedy. The play covers the entire history of sports from every continent in the span of 90 minutes.

One of SHA’s very own Valkyries, Alex Halliburton, is taking part in the play.

When asked what her favorite part about this show was, she said, “my favorite part of the show is being able to create something that I love with my close friends.” This is Alex’s fifth show at St. Xavier High School.

If you missed the performances this past weekend, there are still a few more chances to see this delightful comedy. There are four shows this upcoming weekend, this Friday, Sept. 22 and Saturday, Sept. 23 at 3:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Auditions for St. Xavier’s next straight show, Law and Order: Fairy Tale Unit will occur on Monday, Sept. 25th. This next show will be preformed the weekend of Oct. 27-29. Mark your calendars to come out and support fellow Valkyries in these shows.
