As Midterms quickly approach, it is time to start thinking about fun activities to do in Louisville over Christmas break. Some activities include:

1. Lights Under Louisville: Drive through the Louisville Mega Cavern to see their holiday light show.  It is a great way to get into the Christmas spirit! Tickets are $30 per car for a 30 minute ride through 17 miles of underground passageways.

2. Southern Lights Stroll: Walk, run, or jog through the Kentucky Horse Park to see their display of lights. The Southern Lights Show is a 5k that begins at the Kentucky Horse Park Campground and will proceed through many lights and animated figures. Great way to stay fit while also getting in the Christmas spirit!

3. Louisville Ballet Nutcracker: Experience the beauty of the Louisville Ballet dancer’s while watching Marie and the nutcracker prince travel to the land of the Sugar Plum Fairy.

4. Old Louisville Holiday Home Tour: Tour Victorian style homes decorated for the holidays. This years homes will feature newly patented light bulbs invented by Thomas Edison, the Southern Exposition, and even Victorian Tea.

5. Nutcracker on Ice. The Louisville Skating Academy presents an abridged version of the Nutcracker, performed on ice.

“Over Christmas break, I unfortunately have to get my wisdom teeth out,” Senior Katie Arnold said.  “But to make that experience a little better I will be attending Lights Under Louisville. I have never been, so I am really excited to see it.”

Have a wonderful Christmas Break ladies!
