Christmas Cheer in the UAC

Madrigal Choir on UAC Stairs

The annual tree lighting event took place on Wednesday November 30 at the Ursuline Arts Center. This event encompasses Sacred Heart as a whole and the community within it. Representatives from each school showcased their Dare to Care giving, and musical contribution. From the Sacred Heart preschool all the way to the Madrigal choir, each student made their voice heard.

Junior madrigal Ashley Arnett, when asked what she liked about attending this event for the first time, replied, “what I enjoy most about performing in this for the first time would be being able to share our love of music (especially Christmas music) for the Sacred Heart community! We do many of our performances at events outside of SHA, so it’s nice to be on campus for a change to share the gift of music and song to those we are closer to.”

Senior madrigal Anna Medley, when asked how this event gets her into the holiday spirit, replied, “this helps me get into the holiday spirit because there is an overall aura of holiday cheer and excitement, especially from the younger children. I love being around the children who are so mesmerized by the lighting, it gets me in the holiday spirit!”

The Sacred Heart Academy girls are overjoyed to be a part of this occasion, and can’t wait until next year!
