The Sacred Heart golf team placed first at the Bunny Daugherty Invitational at Hurstbourne Country Club Saturday afternoon with 322 points.

The tournament, hosted by SHA, is named after former athletic director Bunny Daugherty who coached the golf team for 25 years.

The Valkyries celebrated with Coach Leslie Bender performing somersaults for each birdy scored by the team.

Sophomore Taylor Edlin came in second place with 76 total points, an improvement from last year’s score.

“I was really happy with how I played because the course is really difficult,” Edlin said.

Junior Erin Rowland followed in third with 77 points.
