Three Sacred Heart students will perform in Saint Xavier’s production of The Outsiders, opening Sept. 17.

Senior Elizabeth Carrigan, junior Megan Bishop and junior Payton Sims are featured in principal roles.

Adapted from the famous novel of the same name by S. E. Hinton, the play highlights the high school rivalry between the Greasers and the Socs during the 1960s.

The cast and crew auditioned in late May and have had rehearsal five days a week since August.

The Outsiders is a story that many of us know from grade school and have grown up with, and seeing it performed live is such a different experience from reading the book or watching the movie. Also…it’s a great way to support your SHA sisters who are involved in the arts,” said Carrigan.
